Wedding Updo Hack for This Sparkling Look!

In this tutorial, I’m going to show you a gorgeous braided updo that is perfect to wear for a wedding.


If you’re looking for a fancy hairstyle and don’t want to spend the money to have a hair stylist do it for you, this look is just what you need!

Tools and materials:

  • Hair ties
  • Hair chain
Creating half-ponytail

1. Create half-ponytail

Take a section of hair from either side of your head and tie the sections together to create a half-ponytail.

2. Flip half-ponytail

Flip the half-ponytail up and through the hole above it to create a twisted look.

3. Tie one side of hair

Divide the rest of your hair, including the half-ponytail, down the center.


Tie one side with a hairband.

4. Tie the other side

Repeat on the other side.

Braiding

5. Braid with chain

Take a silver hair chain and thread it through your hair tie.


Then, braid one side of your hair with it, incorporating it into two of the strands.

6. Braid other side

Proceed to braid the other side.

7. Cross braid through other side

Put your finger through the gap on one side as shown.

Then, thread the braid from the other side through.

8. Repeat

Do the same thing with the second braid. Cross it through the hole on the opposite side.

9. Cross over again

Proceed to cross the braid on each side over again.

10. Tie ends under bun

The last step is to bring the ends of your braids under your bun, tie them with an elastic, and then tuck them under.

Here is the finished look. We created two braids and then wove them together to create a gorgeous braided bun with silver hair chains running through it.


This hairstyle is perfect for a wedding, and I know I’ll be styling my hair this way for the next wedding I go to!
