Happy Monday Babe! Welcome back to another blog post this Monday. We are officially 1 week away from Christmas and 2 weeks away from the new year. Time waits for no one! Anywho, I am getting these holiday looks out for you babes so you can “Style Up” at all the holiday parties on a budget. This week we are styling simple and sexy thrifted holiday outfits.

1. Black Pants

Now you know we have to start with the basics because that is what I Am Morgan B. is all about! Starting with a simple and sexy basic black pant and white top can always be a default, and that is ok. My motto is: When you start with the basics, you “Style Up” along the way.

Outfit Details: Earrings: Belle wholesale. Top: Burlington, Pants: Thrifted (Goodwill), Purse: Thrifted (Goodwill), Shoes: Trend Mall (local store in Houston)

Although the top was not thrifted it was nice holiday top not to pass up. The pearl embellishment on the sleeves was a very nice touch. The black pants were thrifted from Goodwill and are by the brand Vince Camuto. The material was so thick and stretchy. Great for those cold night. I went for gold accessories because those are my favs. I added the belt to cinch in my waist and show off more of my curves.

Another way to style simple and sexy black pants is by adding a colored top. Black is a neutral and pairs well with anything. That is why having the basics is important because it helps you maximize your wardrobe. This colored peplum top was thrifted from Goodwill as well. This top gave me vintage vibes with the paisley print, shoulder pads, and gold buttons.

If you do not have any curves having a peplum top will be your best friend. It gives off the illusion of having curves and wide hips with the flare peplum detail. Good option to have in your wardrobe.

2. Metallic Dress

The next simple and sexy thrifted outfit is a metallic dress. Metallic and sequins is all the rage for Christmas and New Years. If you are looking for an outfit and want to “Style Up”, start with those styles first. This silver metallic dress was thrifted in 2019 from my local thrift store, Value Village. That is my #1 go to thrift store. It has all the goodies. If you have one in your area… GO!

To keep the metallic style going I added metallic pink accessories to add some color. You do not have to stick with the same colors, unless you are going for a monochromatic look. Make it your own and what fits best for you. If you are unsure of what colors to go with… always start with the basic go to: black or nude.

3. Printed Dress

This simple and sexy thrifted outfit came from the plus size section of the thrift store. This was another vintage vibe style that I could not pass up. The shoulder pads, pleated all in one dress, floral from the 80’s, and a matching gold embellished belt… I knew that it would be great for a special occasion.

I went with metallic pink as well for this look to bring a soft feminine touch. This look is great for a holiday party at a loved ones home or a simple holiday work party. I tucked the collar in to show a little boob action for a sexy look, and tied up the bottom to give the outfit a slit. Follow me on Instagram (@iam.morganb) to see how I achieved this look.

4. Tuxedo Romper

The final simple and sexy thrifted outfit is this tuxedo romper. This is for my ladies who are going to cut up and have a good time. Let the drinks flow ok (LOL)!

The silver accessories were a simple and sexy option. Adding silver glam to this look will make the blue velvet stand out. For colder weather, add stockings (fishnets preferably) and a long coat. The romper and shoes were thrifted from two different Value Villages.

    The first outfit is exquisite!

The cobalt blue blazer is beautiful, I can never have too much of that saturated jewel tone.

Growing up I was never into pink, it was my baby sister’s favorite. But the past few years blushes and those metallic pinks are just so… pleasing to the eye!

Also- I am totally here for those pleated patterned dresses with matching belts. My grandma owned a lot of them. I have one or two but they don’t look quite right on me. Thank you for showing me a more flattering way to wear them!! I’ve worn them anyway for nostalgia but you know, flattering dresses are quite wonderful.
