Hi, beauties! Today I am showing you how to achieve Kim Kardashian-inspired wispy lashes using my favorite ribbon lashes. Let’s begin.

The wispy false lashes I’ll be using are not strip lashes, but ribbon lashes, as you can see here:

Tools and materials:

  • Ribbon lashes in small, medium and large 12x3
  • Lash bond
  • Makeup remover (lashes)
  • Grooming scissors
Ribbon lashes

This allows you to customize the size, using as much or as little as you need. For example, you could cut a very small section for that classic, outer wing shape.

For these Kim Kardashian eyelashes, we will be cutting individual clusters.

1. Prep

Apply eyeliner and mascara as you like and allow it to dry. Then cut tiny, individual sections from your small, medium and large sets.

Cutting lashes

Starting with one eye:

2. Apply the large variety at the outer ends of your lashes

Apply your first tiny lash bunch from the large variety on the outer edge of your lashes.

These lashes are meant to be applied under your natural lashes, but I’ve chosen to apply them above, to give more volume.

Applying lashes

Take a 2nd “large” and apply it with a little gap between the two, creating a nice V shape with each section.

Gap for wispy appearance

Having that gap is what gives you the wispy appearance. Make sure there is about 1-2mm between each lash bunch.

3. Continue with medium and small varieties

Continue to gradually apply large, medium and then small varieties from the outer edge all the way to the inner corner of your eyes, giving the beautiful, winged look.

Adding lashes

Adding lashes

I’m applying 2 large sections followed by 2 medium sections, and then 3 small sections as we reach the inner corner of the eye.

A few tips:

If one of your sections is lacking some “oomph”, feel free to layer another section on top.

Once you begin your second eye, make sure you continuously check your work straight on to ensure that the gaps between the bunches of lashes are equal on both eyes. You might need to make some changes to ensure that they match.

Remember that eyes are sisters, not twins! My eyes are each slightly different in shape, so it sometimes takes me a couple of tweaks to make the lashes look as symmetrical as possible.

If you’re applying these lashes, for example, before a vacation, you can adhere them with the lash bond glue. I’m using Duo glue since I’m taking them off at the end of the day.
