My daughter is turning 3 two days after Halloween, so the family is going to be characters from the DreamWorks Trolls World Tour movie! The party is Trolls themed... obviously!

Interested in how to morph into Poppy, Barb and Branch? Or are you in the market for a Troll's inspired hat? Well look no further my friend!

I am dressing up as Rock Star Brab icon She is my favorite Troll! This one was the easiest costume, I just picked rock star clothes with some grunge aesthetic and plan to do my hair teased and fluffed to the side like a semi mohawk.

Then it was time for the birthday girl. I saw this dress at Target and thought it was perfect for Poppy with the rainbow tutu.

I got some iron ons and one of those obnoxiously large bows to pin on top of her head and my little Pop Troll is ready to party!

This is wear things got tricky, see my husband doesn't have hair... and the Trolls are kinda notorious for their lushes locks. So you can see how this might be a problem! Luckily, your girl knows how to crochet :)

I started off crocheting a simple beanie hat with a 5.75 J crochet hook and medium weight navy yarn.

The pattern is:

Row 1: circle loop, crochet 5 double crochet stitches

Row 2: 2 double crochet in each previous stitch

Row 3: 1 double crochet in first stitch then 2 double crochets, in the following, 1 then 2 for the round

Row 4: 2 double crochets in every 3rd stitch

Row 5: 2 double crochets in every 4th stitch

that completes the increases

Row 6 - Row 8: 1 double crochet in each stitch

Row 9: single crochet and fasten off

Then I cut the lighter blue medium weight yarn into 12 in long strands and started to loop and tie the strands into each double crochet.

As I went along, I would unravel the ends of the yarn and use a brush to create fluffy Troll hair.

I repeated this step each row until row 5 when I started to put a strand through every other double crochet.
