Check Out These 6 Different Ways to Style a Knit Sweater

I know I’m not alone in loving sweater weather. There’s nothing better than wrapping up in a cozy sweater when it starts to get a little cooler. Well, there is one better thing, and that’s looking cute while being comfortable. Check out this tutorial for five different ways in which I chose to style my sweater. I don’t know about you, but I am so ready for the fall!

Sweatskirt

The first outfit I tried the sweater with was a skirt that’s similar to sweatpants but in skirt form. I’d never tried it with this kind of skirt before so I was excited to see how it would work out. I wanted it to still look put together, though, and not frumpy. So I grabbed a skinny belt and tied it around the waist, over the sweater. Then I pulled the shirt up from under the belt and tucked the bottom part into the skirt to create a cropped look for the sweater. Black booties and a color-block shoulder bag complete the look.

Leopard print skirt

I love leopard print, so I wanted to create a look that incorporates it. I put on a leopard skirt and to make the sweater look a little more styled, I added a belt over it. Then I pulled the sweater up just a bit to create a little bit of a hanging look. I went with brown booties and a neutral colored bag so that the main focus of the look would be the leopard print skirt.

Trouser pants

The next style I chose was a pair of trouser pants with a subtle print on them. To add some style, I tucked in the sweater just a little bit in the front and threw on a pair of red-heeled booties and a matching handbag. The last touch was a pair of cat-eye glasses with a wired frame.

Jeans and sweaters are such a perfect pairing for fall. I was going for a comfortable and casual look, so I left the sweater plain. For the shoes, I added another classic piece of fall fashion: over-the-knee boots. The last piece of the puzzle was a black cross-body bag with a gold chain.

I love to take a sweater and just throw it over a dress. It’s not something you’d always think of to do, but it can create a really nice look. I added a simple, matching belt just to create a little bit of a waistline, and put on a stylish pair of ankle booties. I added a pop of color to the look with a burgundy bag.
