I've held on to this beloved pair of skull embroidered jeans for years but since having my daughter, they no longer come up over my hips. So, I had the idea to convert them into a denim skirt so i can finally get some wear out of them again!

This is a pretty quick and easy DIY that’s great for beginner sewists or as an afternoon craft for the seasoned maker. I love how cute it looks styles with tall boots and a thick sweater, and you can even add a pair of tights if you need a layer. Since I'm not traveling too much these days, this skirt has been perfect for wearing while I'm staying cozy inside, denying the fact that winter is coming haha!

You can make your own denim skirt from an old pair of jeans by following this quick and easy step-by-step tutorial! (you can also view the full blog post here) This was a fun refashioning project and I am so so please with the end result!

If you make your own denim skirt using this tutorial, make sure to tag me @happymakes_me  because I would absolutely love to see and share your makes!

Happy making!
