I love recycling worn out and discarded things and teacups often are past their best but saving the lovely patterned china is another way to create and use up as well as good for the environment .

I use specially designed DIY clips with a bezel cup for your own design which are easily available online to buy.

I begin with some little pieces I already have cut from a larger broken piece and start to shape it with wheeled tile nippers. Wearing safety protection for eyes is essential whilst cutting ceramic.

Shape the china with wheeled tile niopers

I keep shaping and then switch to a hand held deemed sander with a carbide stone attachment to grind down more precisely and smooth the edges.

After shaping the base of ceramic into a width that fits snuggly into the bezel . The piece is now small enough to fit into some hair clips with bezel cup.

I begin preparing the glue which is a two part epoxy resin. I use Equal parts of each mix well and place into the bezel cup and on the back of the ceramic piece.

I hold them into place and leave to dry for an hour or so.

Delighted with my new original one of a kind hair accessories 😁

Beyond my skill set and dexterity, but very, very pretty! I could see other forms of jewelry made using this technique. Well done!

I love these! What a great idea! If I had the tools necessary I would definitely try these. Might actually buy tile nippers and sander just so I can make these!
