Chunky Cardigan: Styled 5 Ways

My favorite thing about items in my closet, is being able to wear them more than once. When I say more than once, I don't mean you repeat the same outfit with the same piece of clothing but that you have versatility and you get your moneys worth. That is how I feel about this cardigan - the options are endless. The color of this cardigan actually might scare someone away because it is blue - with hints of white, yellow and orange. To be honest, I wasn't too sure about it when I ordered it but once I got it in, I loved it!

I paired the cardigan with an orange turtleneck sweater, black leggings and fuzzy slides. This look is SOO cozy and simple for a day at home or a quick run to the grocery store. You look put together without even trying. The burnt orange against the blue seems a little strange but the little pieces of orange thread in the cardigan pop with this sweater. It is actually a really pretty combination in person.

I then decided to spruce up the look but also keep it simple because honestly, EVERYONE needs simple. Here I paired the cardigan with blue jeans, a white long sleeve t-shirt and over the knee boots. The over the knee boots elevate the look just a bit but still keep it casual. This would also look great with sneakers, booties or slides!

Another favorite look I did with this cardigan is by pairing the cardigan with a striped long sleeve t-shirt! This striped shirt has burnt orange/brown stripes in it so again, it pulls those colors out in the cardigan. Since the knitting of the cardigan does look like a print, one might be afraid to add the pattern underneath but I think it adds a bit of an edgy look. I then added blue jeans with distressing and my favorite booties. These booties are so comfy and add a cozy vibe with the fur lining.

Back to casual (and probably the look I wear the most) .. leggings! Here I paired these leggings with a basic cream long sleeve t-shirt and white sneakers. Simple and effortless but again, you look like you tried. You can swap the sneakers for ugg boots, slides or even over the knee boots. Add a scarf or a beanie or even a jacket for a more layered look!

When I put these looks together, they are all looks I wear but there is always one that is my favorite and this right here is my favorite. I paired the cardigan with a simple chambray button down and black jeans. These black jeans are high waisted, perfect for tucking in the shirt and not having to worry about it coming out. They also have a frayed edge which shows off the yellow slides even more. I decided to go with the yellow slide to bring out the colors in the cardigan. I think it just adds a pop to the outfit without over doing it.

Again, options are endless and truthfully, I could probably do another 10 looks with this cardigan. Simplicity is key but it also good to step out of the box and your comfort zone. Try something new. Try something that makes you feel good and makes you feel like a million bucks! If a blue cardigan is not it, try a grey one or a beige one. They will definitely give you endless options.
