Maximizing Your Maxi Dresses

Using one clothing item multiple ways is a great way to extend your wardrobe without spending a lot of money. This dress is the perfect piece to style as we transition into fall with cool mornings and hot Georgia days! I had to stop myself at 7 different ways to style this dress because I could have kept going for days!

This maxi dress by itself is beautiful! The color is perfect for fall and the neckline and crossed straps in the back are perfect for date night. You could add a pair of wedges or sparkly sandals and a couple of thin stacked necklaces.

This Old Navy sweater tank was so cute layered over the maxi dress! I tied the tank up in a knot to give more shape. The tank would be perfect with jeans too! It’s a thin open knit material with the perfect high neck for mom-ing or work!

This is one of my favorite ways that I styled the Old Navy maxi dress! I love the long duster cardigan with the maxi dress. A fun hat is a great way to make a simple outfit look more put together (and it hides dirty hair so it’s a win-win!).

A jean jacket is the BEST fall transition piece. You can add it to a dress like I did here or tie around your waist with leggings and a t-shirt. So easy and so cute!

I tied put a simple white long sleeve shirt on over the maxi dress and tied it up to add some definition at the waist. So easy and perfect for teachers or hanging out with friends! I love that the shirt raises the neckline so I don’t have to worry about too much cleavage and its comfortable enough to wear all day at home with the kiddos.

How cute is this cardigan over my fav maxi dress?? You get a skirt and a dress for the price of one by buttoning the cardigan up to look like a shirt. Such an affordable way to extend one piece!

Are you getting 90s vibes?? I love that this trend is coming back! It is so fun and different. Teachers, I am looking at you with this style! This is also such an easy way to make a dress with a deeper v-neck work for everyone. If you aren’t comfortable with the depth of the neckline, you can easily add a thin layering shirt like this one!

Wow, I would never have thought of half of these! Such great ideas - especially the knotted skirt.

Great and simple style! My favorite is the duster and hat outfit. If only I was as tall (and thin) as you are. You get extra points too for your cute bedroom.
