Make These Palazzos Fancy with So-Easy-to-Do French Seams.


In 30 Minutes!


One Pair of Drapes (84″) is More than Enough for the Pants.


Velvet Drapes - Amazon LINK.

Cut out the pattern pieces.

3 Pieces. Front. Back. Waistband.

To Make French Seams: With Right Sides Facing OUT…

Sew the Leg Seams.

Trim to As Close to the Seam as You Can, without Snipping the Threads.

Toss the Cut Section.

Now Flip the Pieces (with Right Sides Facing In)…Pin.

And Sew the Seam Again.

A Lovely French Seam Appears.


No Jiggidity Jaggidity Seams for these Palazzos.

Keep Going. You’ve Got This!

The Assembly is Almost Complete.

Attach the Waistband.

Sew Securely in Place. Leave an Opening to Feed In the Elastic.

Nice and Easy.

Almost Done. Pin the Hem.

Sew.

    You are such an inspiration to an oldie like me. Love what you did. Didn't the French seams make it more bulky?

      Hi Amanda - the French seams make it a bit bulker but I find it so much better than raggedy seams...and with this wide-leg pattern, the fabric is voluminous so it really doesn't matter. Hope that helps! Jeanne - Doodle T and Me!
