Tennis Inspired Style Inspo

The weather has warmed up and the sun is out, which means it's time to enjoy spending time outside again! This spring, a tennis aesthetic has taken over. Pleated skirts, sporty dresses, and delicate knits are key components to this style. In this tutorial, I'll show you three different ways that I've styled outfits

For this outfit I wore this beautiful pastel pink tennis dress! It features shorts underneath the skirt of the dress as an added bonus so that I feel secure on the courts. I added a light cropped knit cardigan in an off white colour to pair with the white scrunched socks and the nude sneakers that I wore with this outfit. I think the contrast with the white really makes the colour of the pink dress stand out and adds to the femininity of this outfit!

If you know me, you know that I love a matching set! For this look, I paired together a ruched front tank and an asymmetric pleated skirt in matching bright white. For accessories, I added a pop of colour with my hot pink handbag and then kept it simple with white socks and athletic sneakers.

This look serves style both on and off the tennis courts and would be so cute to wear on an afternoon out! Matching sets are so versatile because they pair perfectly together but can also be repurposed into so many other outfits as well. Matching sets will always be a staple in my closet!

For my last look here I took a combination of the last two outfits to create this look. I have a pleated navy blue skirt with a white elastic waist band and a sports bra in the same white shade. Overtop, I added a thick off white knit cardigan for some warmth. Finally, I kept my accessories the same as the previous looks with the scrunched socks and athletic sneakers with a touch of navy to tie in with the skirt. I also added a simple black handbag to store all of my essentials.

This style is great because the cardigan can be removed and draped over your shoulders or tied around your waist when it starts getting warm. Of all the looks in this tutorial, this one is the most casual and easy to wear as street style if you're experimenting with the sporty tennis look for the first time.
