Keep Your Hair Braided This Summer With This Protective Style
Keep your hair up and out of your sunscreen this summer with this cute pool hairstyle.
Follow along with my step-by-step tutorial to get this braided, summer look.
Tools and materials:
- Clear hair elastics
1. Start a braid
Start with a middle part. Then take a small section of hair from the front on 1 side and begin braiding a 3-strand braid, each turn going under the middle section.
2. Make it a Dutch braid
To begin the Dutch braid, add a small amount of hair to your strand before passing it under the middle section.
Be sure to do this for each exterior strand before passing it under.
3. Tie off the Dutch braid under your ear
Use a clear, hair elastic to tie off the end of the Dutch braid under your ear, at the top of your neck.
4. Turn the tail into 2 regular braids
Halve your ponytail and make 2, regular 3-strand braids, tying off the ends with elastics.
