Tools and materials:

  • Brush
  • Clip
  • Hair elastics
Sectioning hair

1. Section and separate

Separate the hair framing the face from one ear to the other going about 3 inches in.


Then tie the rest of your hair back to keep it out of the way.

2. Brush it over

Starting by the ear, brush the sectioned hair over the top of your head to the other side.

Again starting by the ear, begin braiding the hair with a Dutch braid.

Continue the braid up and across the top of the head until you get to the opposite ear.

4. Finish it off

Tie the end of the braid with a hair tie. Tug lightly at the edges of the braid to enhance the volume.

Pull the ends of the hair back and under the rest of your hair and tie it at the nape of the neck. Then let the rest of your hair down.
