3 Fun Ways to Tie an Oblong Scarf

Hello everyone. Today, we will style a silk oblong scarf with a scarf ring.

I am going to show you three different ways of wearing your scarf to look stylish and fabulous. My scarf ring's internal diameter is about 1.5 inches, and the scarf size is 73 by 27 inches.

My scarf is long, large and very bright. I love a colorful scarf to really add some character to a simple look. The first style comes as a variation of one of the styles that I’ve used in the past.

Tools and materials:

  • 73 by 27-inch scarf/long rectangular scarf
  • Scarf ring
Fluffed-front style

Fluffed-front style

Place the scarf around your neck with the ends hanging in front.

Put one end of the scarf through one half of the scarf ring and the other end through the other side.

Without crossing the scarf over in front, flip both sides to the back.

Cross it over behind your head, tie it and bring both ends back to the front.

Now loop each end back through the scarf ring.

Let the ends hang down fluffy in front. Then loosen and style the layers around the neck.

Scarf-top style

For the second style, place the scarf around your neck with the ends hanging in front.

Take one end and thread it through the ring so it’s going over and under the middle partition. Do the same with the other end of the scarf.

Scarf-top style

Slide the ring up to your neck.

Take the outer corners of the ends of the scarf.

Scarf-top style

Wrap them around your waist, tying them at the back with a loose double knot.

This looks great with a jacket over it. It could be a fun look to wear to the office.

The third style starts the same as the previous one.

Wrap the scarf around your neck with the ends hanging in front. Loop each end of the scarf through the bottom of the ring and over the partition.

Slide the ring up to the neck. Pass each end back. Cross them over behind your neck and bring both ends to the front again.

Cozy style

Wrap the ends underneath the scarf at the front, just behind the scarf ring.

Cozy style

Loosen and fluff the scarf around your neck to make it look nice. This style is very warm, with three layers of silk wrapped nicely around your neck.
