Hi, guys! Today, I want to talk about a face mask that changed the game for me. This DIY brightening face mask tackled my hyperpigmentation, scarring, dark marks, and my dark circles.

When I first started my skincare journey, I was clueless. I just knew my skin was suffering. I needed to tackle all the darkness from my under-eye bags, dark spots, and scarring. I found this mask and have been using it for a really long time.

In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to get rid of hyperpigmentation and lighten acne scars on your face. Let’s get started!

Tools and Materials.

  • Apple cider vinegar
  • Honey
  • Turmeric
  • Applicator brush
  • Moisturizer
How to lighten acne scars

1. Gather your ingredients

You only need three products for this mask. The first is the key ingredient, turmeric which is our lightning agent, so it is very important.

Honey for hydration

You’ll also need honey. Any honey will do.

Finally, you’ll need apple cider vinegar. Make sure you add this as it gives you faster results. I get the one that says “With The Mother.” I don’t know if it makes a difference, but I’ve heard a few people say it’s much better.

Mixing all ingredients

2. Mix all of the ingredients

Mix 3 teaspoons of turmeric, 2 teaspoons of honey, and 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar.

Applying mask to face with a brush

3. Apply mask

I’ll be using a little brush to apply the mask to my face. You can use your fingers, but I don’t like to because turmeric stains the skin. If you have acrylics or anything like that, they may turn a bit yellow so I would recommend wearing gloves.

Let the mask sit for 30-45 minutes while it does its magic, then rinse.

Applying moisturizer to skin

4. Moisturize

I just finished up the mask with a moisturizing lotion.

Surely it is obvious that if it stains the skin on your fingers then it will stain the skin on your face or is your skin on your face different to the skin on your fingers?

Read it carefully! She said IF you have acrylics (nails) it might stain them.
