For all my ladies who love statement earrings, this tutorial is for you!
I’m about to share with you my secret for how to wear heavy earrings and avoid damaging your ears.
For this heavy earrings hack, there’s no need to buy any obscure ingredients. All you need is Vaseline! This simple hack will prevent your earrings from feeling like they're tugging on your earholes so much.
Let's get started.

Tools and materials:
- Petroleum jelly (Vaseline)
- Heavy earrings
1. Apply Vaseline to the earring posts
With clean hands, apply some Vaseline to the posts of the earrings.
This will allow the heavy earrings to slide right in place. You only need the tiniest amount for this.
2. Apply Vaseline to your piercing holes
Next, apply a similar amount of Vaseline to your piercing holes from the front and back.
3. Put on your heavy earrings
Now all that’s left to do is to wear your earrings!

I use this hack for sensitive ears with allergic reaction to costume earrings. I didn't know it worked for heavy earrings. Too much Vaseline will cause earrings to fall off your ears!!😇
No one should ever wear heavy earrings. Vaseline or no Vaseline, they damage your ear lobes! Period. MANY girlfriends of mine have had plastic surgery to repair their torn lobes. SHAME on this article for suggesting that Vaseline will ensure no lobe damage when instead you could have encouraged people to shop for lighter earring versions.
