How to Do DIY Soap Brows Like the Actresses of Hollywood's Golden Age
Today, I have a DIY soap brows tutorial. I recently stumbled upon an article in Marie Claire Magazine about soap brows and wanted to give it a go. It really does work, so I want to show you guys how you can do soap brows at home too.
This is an old Hollywood trick that actresses and models used to do in the Golden Age of Hollywood. It's also endorsed by Anastasia Soare from the Anastasia Beverly Hills beauty line. Let's get started.
Tools and materials:
- Bar soap
- Brow brush
- Brow filler
- Brow setting gel
- Powder concealer
- Flat makeup brush
1. Choose a bar of soap
Grab a bar of soap, preferably a clear one so it doesn’t leave a white film behind.
2. Apply the soap to your brow brush
Dampen your brow brush and brush it against the soap bar very gently a few times.
3. Apply the soaped brush to your brows
Comb the brush through your brows. I swear it works better than a pomade!
4. Color in your eyebrows
Using a thin eyebrow crayon, color in your brows in upward strokes.
Make sure to lightly outline your brows as well for the shape.
5. Set your eyebrows
Apply clear brow setting gel very lightly. This will set your brows super well! Almost like a hair spray.
6. Apply concealer
Once you have applied the soap, brow filler, and setting gel, and have let your eyebrows set, you can go in with a powder concealer.
Using a flat brush, line the bottom of your brows right below the outline that you drew.
