How to Do Your Makeup to Look Like the Glow Look Filter on TikTok
In this makeup tutorial, I will recreate the glow look filter from TikTok! The look is mostly focused on the blush placement, which is all across the cheeks and bridge of the nose.
The glow filter on TikTok almost gives off a sunburned look with a lovely glowy highlight. If you're interested in recreating this look, then join me as I guide you with every step.
Tools and materials:
- Makeup brushes
- Nude eyeshadow palette
- Blush
- Highlighter
- Eyeliner
- Lipstick
- BB cream or foundation
- Eyelash curler
- Eyelid primer
- Color corrector
- Eyebrow pencil
- Spoolie
- Setting spray
1. Apply white eye primer
Use a high-definition eyeshadow primer in white and place it along the mobile eyelid and under the eyes. Use a finger to blend it out.
2. Fill in your brows
While the eye primer sets, fill in your brows. I focused on the ends, as shown. Use a spoolie where needed.
3. Apply eyeshadow
For this step, use a big, fluffy blending brush and a transition shade in a neutral matte brown. Sweep the eyeshadow across the crease and blend it in.
With a smaller blending brush, go in with a darker brown shade to deepen the crease. Then, add brown to the outer V until you are happy.
Take the transition shade and mix it with an orange color. Apply it to the first half of your lid with a flat, dense brush.
With the same dark brown color used in the outer V, smudge the bottom lash line. Do this on the outer third.
Now, go in with the original transition shade to smoke out the dark color you just placed down.
Highlight the inner corners with a champagne color. Gently tap it on with your ring finger.
4. Apply eyeliner
Give your lashes a good curl, and then apply eyeliner. First, line your upper waterline. You could do this with a liquid liner, but I’m going with a gel liner.
Go over the top of your lash line and smoke out the very outer edge of it, closer to the outer V. Use a small, dense brush to blend it out.
To finish up the bottom lash line, take the same eyeliner and tap it in right on the lashline.
5. Apply an undereye corrector
I’m tapping in a brightening color corrector in the darkest area of my undereye.
6. Apply foundation
For foundation, I’m just going in with my favorite BB cream and applying it with a large flat brush.
7. Apply blush
Now, onto the blush, which is probably the highlight of this TikTok glow look filter. Go in with a brown/orange blush. Apply it to the top of your cheekbones and across the bridge of your nose.
Then, blend out the blush with a big face brush.
8. Apply highlighter
Apply a highlighter to the tip of your nose, bridge of your nose, chin, above the eyebrows, and cupid’s bow. Do this with the tip of your finger.
9. Apply lipstick
Next, go in with a berry shade of lipstick and use your finger to blot it out.
10. Apply a setting spray
For the last step, set your makeup with a setting spray. Mine has a slight glow to it, which is perfect for the glow TikTok filter look.
