Scarf as a Summer Accessory

One of my favorite accessories in the summer is a scarf. I typically go for a satin or silk, but also a very thin lightweight fabric can work too. Small square ones, larger square ones or even rectangular ones work for so many options. I’ll show you my top three ways I style a scarf.

My go-to is the bandanna style around the neck when I’m wearing a solid color that needs that little extra something. My preference is always going to be a pattern either in the same color pattern or a contrasting color. If I feel an outfit looks too plain, I typically reach for a scarf.

Here I used two different shape scarves as bathing suit cover ups. The one on the left is a large square that definitely is more of a mini skirt style. The one on the right is a rectangle shape that gives me more length.

Another great alternative for a scarf in the summer is to wear it as a hair accessory. Perfect for the beach or pool on the right or have fun with it as an extra accessory for your hair that’s just adds to your outfit.
