Midi Dresses and the Wedding Season

Spring /summer is the most common time for weddings. No sooner that the wedding invitations start arriving in the post that the dilemma of what to wear begins. It has to be wedding appropriate, something to be worn both daytime and night, and something you’ll be able to wear again, after the wedding day.

I personally think that a midi dress is the best option for a wedding guest outfit. It is not as formal as a maxi dress can be. Neither is it too inappropriately short to wear around all the younger and elderly guests.

Weddings tend to be an all day occasions so to be comfortable and not too cold nor not too hot is of the most importance. That’s why a midi dress is ideal for that as it is long enough to keep you warm and most midi dresses are not tight fitting so can be comfortable to wear all day.

You can accessorise a midi dress with high heels and add a blazer as a jacket to keep you warm as you are most likely to be spending some of the time outdoors.

The other reason why I love a midi dress is that once you have worn that dress to all the weddings of the season, you can wear it again and again, more casually by accessorising it with sandals in the summer or a pair of trainers and a biker jacket in the colder months.
