5 Steps to Smooth, Glowing Skin - Step-by-step Dermaplaning at Home
Today, I’m going to show you easy dermaplaning at home steps for peach fuzz hair removal so you can achieve smooth, glowy skin. Let’s get started
Tools and materials:
- Aloe vera
- Baby oil
- Face razor
- Moisturizer
- Sponge
1. Cleanse
The first thing you should do is make sure your face is thoroughly washed, then dab your face with a hot sponge to soften your skin and hair so it’s easier to start the shaving process.
2. Apply oil
If you’re wondering what oil to use for dermaplaning at home, you can apply any oil of your choice over the area you plan to shave. Personally, I’m using baby oil to do this.
3. Shave your face
Now it’s time to shave the face. Use one hand to grip the top of your face and use the other hand to shave in a downward position. Do this really gently so you don’t damage your skin barrier. As you’re shaving, go over the spot two or three times to make sure you’ve got every single hair. You’re not only shaving your hair, but you’re also removing some dead skin cells. I’ve been shaving my face for a few months now, and I can definitely say the hair does not grow back thicker or longer at all.
You can really see the difference here in the smoothness of the skin from where I shaved compared to the areas around it.
4. Apply aloe vera
A good step for dermaplaning aftercare is to apply aloe vera which has healing properties. Put it all over your face and leave for five minutes. This will help soothe the skin.
5. Moisturize
Finally, let’s moisturize. I’m using an oatmeal moisturizer; it has all-natural ingredients that also help soothe the skin after putting it through the shaving process.
