Very Vogue, I've Made the Jumpsuit of My Dreams!!
Hey lovely "Upstylers" I've made a fab new jumpsuit and can't wait to share all the details, and, show you how to stye it two ways, I hope you like it as much as I do!!
I made the jumpsuit with this great pattern designed by Vogue, its V9075 if you'd like to grab a copy here > Vogue Sewing Pattern 9075 | 1004076 | Minerva And the linen cotton blend I chose is here. Minerva Core Range Yard Dyed Linen Cotton Fabric | 1272818 | Minerva
Once I'd got all the sections cut out, I started with the bodice. Joining the princess seams and side seams together before stitching the shoulder seams.
The bodice is actually fully lined which gives a really neat finish inside and out, this is achieved by literally cutting two bodices and stitching them together with right sides facing
Then the front pleats are pinned and stitched
Before the inseams are joined front to back.
After the inseams are stitched the crotch seams are stitched, then the bodice and the culotte sections are stitched together.
Then there's only the sleeve sections to add and were onto the zip.
Tada!!
All finished, I think the jumpsuit works really well and is truly versatile, here I've styled it with a pair of patent kitten heels for a really smart look, I think this would work really well for an evening out or lunch with friends.
But I think this might be my favourite styling, my favourite pair of Rocket dog pumps and a leather jacket, perfect for running round town shopping, coffee with the girls or chasing the grand kids. I think it looks totally cute! What do you think??
