Here's a simple way to tie up a scarf into a bag! Use any scarf that you have available and follow these steps to make a cute bag. This is a great way to repurpose an older scarf that you don't reach for anymore and give it a fresh new style!

To make a simple shoulder bag, fold your scarf into a square shape if it is rectangular. If it is square already then you can skip the previous step. Next, tie a single knot in each corner about one to two inches down towards the centre of the scarf as shown above. These will serve as the handles of the bag. Finally, tie two adjacent corners together on each side to make two handles and you're ready to go!

You can make the handles of the bag as long or short as you like. In this example I made the bag smaller by folding it into a smaller square initially.

This is the perfect way to add some extra details to your outfit and it also serves as a functional accessory. When adding items to the scarf bag you may need to re-adjust your knots and folding as the weight of whatever is inside will cause the shape to change. You can also try using different sizes and shapes of scarves to customize your look.
