Easy Tutorial: How to Apply Eye Makeup for Over 50

Putting on makeup doesn’t have to take long or need lots of products.
Here’s how to apply eye makeup for over 50s in a couple of minutes, using just two products.
I used two shades of pink but feel free to try any combo you love.
Tools and materials:
- Matte eyeshadow
- Shimmer eyeshadow
- Eye shadow brush
1. Matte shadow
Brush a light or medium tone matte eyeshadow all over your lid and well into the socket line. I’m using a pretty, light pink shade.
2. Blend
Use your eye shadow brush to pull the shade right up to your brow bone and underneath your eye brow.
The secret is to blend it well so there are no hard edges.
3. Add some shimmer
Take a shimmer eyeshadow in a toning shade.
Rub your finger over the shimmer shade and dab it right in the middle of your mobile eyelid.
You want to highlight the center of the lid, not cover it with shimmer.

I use a magnification mirror. You can get them in different strengths, so look at a few to determine which one works best for you - good luck!
