Prepping face

1. Prep the rest of your face

Apply your everyday face makeup. I’ve used primer, foundation, concealer, translucent powder, lipstick and a touch of blush.

2. Apply eye primer

Clip your hair back if you’d like. Use a tissue to gently blot any excess oils off of your eyelids.

Then dab on a small amount of eye primer for a smooth base and to help the makeup stay in place all day. Allow the product to dry.

3. Fill in your brows

Use a spoolie to brush through your eyebrows. Then fill in any sparse areas with a liquid brow brush, making strokes that look like fine hairs.

Then go over the strokes with the spoolie brush to soften the effect so it won’t look stark.

4. Apply eyeshadow

Choose a matte, powder eyeshadow. Anything with shimmer will draw attention to crepey skin.

Eyeshadow

Tap your eyeshadow brush into a light, lilac shade and apply it all over your eyelids for a soft wash of color.

Applying eyeshadow

With a smaller, pointed eyeshadow brush, pick up a pewter color and apply it to the crease line of your eyelids to add depth.

Then soften that with the previous eyeshadow brush.

5. Apply gray eyeliner

Apply gray eyeliner on your lower lash line about ⅔ of the way toward the inner corners of your eyes.

Then gently press that with a clean finger to soften.

6. Apply mascara

Apply black mascara to your upper and lower eyelashes.
