Glam Evening Eye Makeup Look, Perfect for Women Over 50
Hello, everyone!
In this makeup tutorial for older women, I’m going to glam myself up with evening eye makeup because I have plans to go out for a meal with friends.
The products I'm using today are from the Look Fabulous Forever range, made specifically for mature skin. However, you can achieve the same results with any brand of product.
Smooth under eye puffiness and wrinkles!
Tools and materials:
- Soft gray eyeshadow
- Pewter eyeshadow
- Charcoal eyeshadow
- Silver liquid shimmer
- Dark gray eyeliner
- Eyeshadow brushes
- Eyelash curler
- Mascara
As you can see, I’ve already prepared my face with lip makeup and I’ve completed one of my eyes.
I’m going to show you how to achieve this glamorous look.
1. Apply gray eyeshadow to the socket
Apply soft gray eyeshadow into the socket line of your eye.
2. Apply pewter and charcoal eyeshadow to the crease
Add a mix of pewter and charcoal eyeshadow to the crease.
Use a smaller brush for this as the charcoal is quite dark and we’re going for a light, glamorous smokey look for this evening eye makeup.
3. Blend
Use a small blending brush in circular motions to blend the pewter and charcoal eyeshadow.
Use the eyeshadow brush to get rid of any distinct lines.
4. Apply a silver shimmer to the inner corner
Apply a silver liquid shimmer to the corner of your eye to get that glamorous look.
Use a small eyeshadow brush to smooth out the shimmer and create a thinner layer.
5. Line your lash line
Line your lash line with a dark gray soft eyeliner.
6. Use charcoal eyeshadow to set the liner and lift the eyes
Apply charcoal eyeshadow over the eyeliner with a wedge brush to set it so it doesn’t move at all during the evening.
I tend to do this because my eyes water a lot, and this trick helps keep my makeup in place.
Draw it out a bit upward to give your eyes some lift.
7. Apply charcoal gray eyeshadow under the eye
Using the wedge brush, apply a little of the charcoal gray below the eye to give the makeup a more smokey look.
8. Curl your lashes
Squeeze the eyelash curlers at the base of the eyelashes and then slide them down to the tip of your eyelashes.
9. Apply mascara to the top and bottom lashes
Wiggle the mascara up from the base of the lashes.
Repeat on the bottom lashes. I also added another coat to the top.

Boy do I feel silly…for the life of me I couldn’t figure out what it was!
