Quick and Easy Makeup Look for Older Hooded Eyes
Spring is here! That means you need a spring makeup look!
Follow along, and learn how to achieve this natural spring makeup look for older women, especially older hooded eyes like mine.
Although I have warm-toned skin, the colors I recommend in this tutorial are suitable for both warm and cool-toned skin.
The products I'm using today are from the Look Fabulous Forever range, made specifically for mature skin. However, you can achieve the same results with any brand of product.
Smooth under eye puffiness and wrinkles!

1. Prepare your skin
Start with clean, moisturized skin.
Mix a small amount of beauty balm and foundation on your hand and blend them together with a foundation brush for a dewy look.
Apply it starting from the center of your face and blend outwards towards the hairline and neck.
2. Add blush
Choose a peach cream blush and apply it to the apples of your cheeks using a blush brush.
Make a teardrop, or tadpole shape by starting with a small circle on the apple of your cheek, and blend it upwards towards the temples for a natural flush.
3. Apply eye makeup
Apply a light rose gold eyeshadow to the lids to brighten them.
Use warm brown eyeshadows to define the crease and outer corners of the eyes.
Create a nice clean line by placing a tissue along the outer edge of where you want your shadow to be, and applying the shadow along that edge.
Blend well to create a lifted effect.
Soften the edges of the eyeshadows with a blending brush.
Apply eyeliner underneath your eyes using a deep mauve or complementary color to make your eyes pop.
Soften the eyeliner a bit with a small blending brush.
Clean up the edges and highlight under your brow and under your eye with a thin highlighter brush.
Blend in the highlighter with your fingertip.
4. Define your brows
Use a dark brown brow product to fill in and shape your brows.
Start in the middle of your brow and work outward.
Then blend the edges with a spooly brush for a softer look.
Finish by applying mascara to your lashes, wiggling the wand from the roots to the tips for volume and length.
5. Complete your lips
Line your lips with a raspberry lip liner to define the shape.
Fill in your lips with a pink lipstick for a springtime hue that complements warm tones.
You can try different lip colors for different occasions. Soft coral is a bright, summery color perfect for daytime or garden parties.
Glitzy glamorous Hollywood red is a classic for a bold, glamorous look.
6. Set your makeup
Use a powder brush to lightly dust translucent powder over your face to set the makeup.
Optionally, use bronzer to add warmth to the forehead and cheeks, blending in a "C" shape motion from the temples to the cheeks.
