Easy Tutorial on How to Sew on a Patch Onto Clothing

Patches are a fun way to customize your style. I’m about to show you how to iron and then sew on a patch.
You can use this technique on hats, tote bags, jeans... the possibilities are endless! Let’s get started.
Tools and materials:
- Patch
- Cloth
- Iron
- Needle and thread
1. Place the patch and cover it
Simply lay the patch where you want it to be.
Then cover it with a cloth.
2. Iron and shake
Put your iron on the cotton setting and press on the patch for a few seconds.
Then shake the garment to make sure the patch stays on. If not, go back in with the iron for a few more seconds.
3. Secure the perimeter
Stitch all around the patch with a backstitch. You can use a thread that matches the color of the edges or go bold with a contrasting color.
And that’s all! It took me about 10 minutes to sew all around.
