For all the fans of Lush body massage bars, this is an easy option that allows you to make them in bulk, nourish your skin and let it shine with gentle white pearl mica. The essential oil blend is heavily winter-ish, but you can easily swap it for your favorite personal blend! This body butter bar is solid on room temperature but it melts divinely when it comes in contact with the skin!

Visit my blog Wild for Nature for the step-by-step instructions and a complete recipe.

You'll also need a scale to weigh all the ingredients and a heat-resistant beaker/measuring cup that you can put into a water bath.

First of all, combine mica powder with a bit of macadamia nut oil. Set aside.

Next, weigh all the ingredients in a measuring cup (apart from essential oils, mica powder, and vitamin E oil).

Pop the measuring cup into a water bath and let all the ingredients melt completely.

When they're melted, combine mica with macadamia oil mixture into the melted oils. Stir well.

Add essential oil blend and vitamin E oil. Stir again and pour the mixture into the molds of choice. Let the bars set completely (best overnight).

Substitutions in the recipe:

  • use mango butter in place of cupuacu
  • substitute candelilla wax with beeswax (but you'll have to change the ratios in the recipe as candelilla is a harder wax, so you'll need about double the amount of beeswax)
  • use your own essential oil blend
