Rainbow Themed Lanyard for Keys or Badges

As the little is getting bigger, she is getting items that she needs to have a safe way to carry, store such as a library card and eventually keys! I decided to make her a cute beaded lanyard.

I used wax thread, a key hook, wood beads and rubber beads.

I also added a charm that happened to be the exact diameter of the key hook that I just thought make it look more like a necklace.

Then I just stated doing a rainbow pattern with two rubber beads in-between a wood bead to break it up.

I thought it would be cute to add some words too! We went with "HEELO SUNSHINE" and a smiley face :)

Then I just completed the pattern and tied off the beads.

I cut the ends and used a lighter to melt the ends so they don't fray. This is why I love using wax thread.

Now you can add anything you need to the key ring. I also added a hook to make it easier to take things off and on.

She had a few little keychains I threw on too and she loved it!
