Here is round two for my MimiG Style patterns ( MimiG Style Simplicity 8426) I have to admit as you probably know that pattern was just released so it was not one from my stash, it was a recent purchase......but I was excited about this one. The fabric is on fleek [do they still say on fleek?] anyway I found this patch-work denim at Joann's and I was dying to sew something up with it. I recently made a dress with two different prints one for the front and one for the back and I decided to do the same for this jumpsuit. I used a denim tencel for the back. This pattern was also easy to work with. The length is super long, so if you're tall you may not need to add anything. The pattern does give you the finished length from the base of the neck and for size 12 it says 62" inches. I was not sure if that was going to be long enough and Mori was not around to measure at that time so I added 1.5" to the pattern length. I ended up needing to off that extra I added plus another half inch a total of 2" and then hem it two inches and it still touches the ground with 4 inch heels.

The top ran big, I cut the 12 and I had to go down to a size 10 in the top because it should be fitted not loose and a 12 for the bottom. The pattern also give s you the finished width of the pant legs and take into consideration that they are pretty wide. My back yoke does not meet together as the pattern shows, I have a space showing skin in the middle, I just rook a little off my center back yoke.

One for the road!

Until next time!
