Throughout the seasons we meet rain and snow and that can do a number on our shoes. It's a good idea to make your shoe water-resistant and I'll share one way we do this in our home. You can see more of my crazy creations here

To start this project you'll need some WD-40 and you can find that at any big box store and online. This stuff is amazing and it is great for so many uses, did you know it was good for making your shoe water-resistant?

You'll also need a microfiber cloth.

  • Spray your WD-40 onto your microfiber cloth.
  • Take your microfiber cloth and start buffing and wiping your shoe.
  • If you need to add a little more WD-40, repeat and continue to wipe your shoe until you've coated the entire surface.

Check out this amazing before and after shot! What a difference WD-40 makes not only to make your shoes water-resistant but also to give them a nice shiny makeover.
