Do you have a sweater that is past it’s prime?! Or maybe some holes started forming or just normal wear and tear! Join me as I alter this sweater into a new piece of clothing. I have always liked sweater vests…I’m not sure why, but I do 😆 Ready?! Let’s do this!

Here is my light Spring sweater, that I love, but it started to wear down and I saw a hole in the arm pit…so it’s time to change things up!

I start off by cutting straight up from the arm pit with very sharp scissors. The fabric is pretty thin so it is easy to cut. I think if you went in a curve, it would work great as well!

Here are both arms fully cut off. You could probably make some cute scrunchies with these arm scraps! Or maybe a headband?! … what do you think I should make with this excess fabric now?!

Here is the finished product. It was a super easy transformation. I can’t wait to try it on! I hope you enjoyed this post and create a piece of new clothing for yourself!
