Styling Workwear for Less

Working in a work environment where you have to look polished every single day of the week can put a dent in your wallet. I remember when I worked for a small financial firm as an executive assistant. I was 20 at the time and was paying my own way through school. It was hard enough just trying to cover my car payment + rent - now on top of that, I had to wear nice work attire. I ended up rotating a lot of the pieces in my closet and also creating a capsule wardrobe. This was so helpful and inexpensive! A capsule wardrobe is a set of neutrals + basics that you group together and rotate giving you multiple outfits. I created this capsule wardrobe using my favorite color combo, black + white. You can go about this how you wish and incorporate your favorite colors or prints. Next, I added animal prints. If you look closely at the white button-up shirt, there is an imprinted animal print. I love this so much because it makes it look really chic + high-end. Now, I'm going to show you how to look expensive on a limited budget using the same pieces.

A mix of black + white is a nice way of looking professional and it is flattering on anyone.

A black dress is typically safe to wear into the office as it shows professionalism + you look put together.
