3 Different Curl Types You Can Do With a Straightener
Did you know that you don’t need curling tongs to put curls and waves in straight hair?
You can actually use hair straighteners!
Here are 3 different curl types you can make with them.
Best hair straightener!
Tools and materials:
- Hair straighteners
1. Extended corkscrew
Place a section of hair between the plates at the end closest to the hand grips.
Lift the straightener up towards the back of your head and place the hair over the top of them.
Hold the straighteners almost vertically.
Slide them slowly down the hair and away from the head, keeping the tension on them.
2. Corkscrew
Wrap the hair around the straighteners in the same way as for the extended corkscrew.
Hold the straighteners diagonally rather than vertically as you slide them down the hair.
Pull them well away from the head as you release the hair, making a looser, softer curl.
3. Long curl
Wrap the hair around the lower plate.
Twist the straighteners so the hair wraps around both plates.
Keep hold of the end of the hair and wrap around the plates.
This creates a tighter curl than the other two.
Pull and release the end of each curl as you finish it, so it falls more naturally into shape.

Make sure the straighteners are at the correct temperature before you start.
Don’t curl a section wider than 2 inches at a time, and dry your hair completely first.
