An Easy Vintage Style Headband
Why not add a touch of vintage to any outfit with this super easy scrap-busting headband? Use any jersey fabric scraps you have lying around, or use your offcuts from other projects to make perfect matching accessories.
You will need:
- A small scrap of jersey (I used the leftover ponte from my Audrey Top make)
- Colour-matched thread
- A stretch needle
- A marking tool (chalk pencil or fabric pen)
Step 1
Cut two strips of fabric 31 inches long by 3 inches wide. If you have one, a rotary cutter helps get a quick, neat edge.
Step 2
Mark a point 1.5 inches from each end of the fabric with a chalk pencil or fabric marker and cut.
Step 3
Place the fabric right sides together and sew all the way round with a 1/2 seam allowance, leaving a small gap to turn it through.
Step 4
Trim the point at each end, turn right side through and press. Now hand sew the gap closed using a slip stitch.
Ta Dah! Fit to your head and tie into a knot. There you have it - an easy peasy vintage-style headband x
