Apple Cider Vinegar Hair Detangler
No matter how much conditioner I use on my daughter’s hair she still gets very tangled hair. She has beautiful silky long hair but after her shower or swimming it is a giant tangled mess! This easy recipe will help detangle even the most difficult knots and mats.
Check out this quick video with the before and after.
Before her hair is tangled despite my best efforts to use conditioner and keep it brushed out.
Make a vinegar/ water solution using 1 part vinegar to 4 parts water. I used 1/4 apple cider vinegar mixed with 1 cup of water.
Mix the vinegar and water together and add it to a spray bottle.
Spray onto the hair liberally and then gently comb through the knots. They will detangle and the hair will look sleek and smooth.
You can use other types of vinegar. It doesn’t have to be apple cider. White vinegar works just as well but it tends to be a little stinkier. You can add 2 drops of essential oils to help mask the smell.
After the hair shines and look super healthy and tangle free. You can run your fingers from root to tip without catching them on a knot.

When we were growing up, my mother mixed vinegar and water and poured it over our hair. The vinegar odor dissipates quickly and there is no lingering odor. Our hair was always in great condition.
I've heard of people using beer as a conditioner
