1. Prepare your hair

Start off with freshly washed hair, leaving it a little bit damp so that the mask can work without drying out too quickly.

As you can see, my hair is not defined, and it has a tight, 4c texture.

My hope is that this Aztec clay mask brings out some of my curls and hydrates my hair also.

2. Mix two ingredients

Mix together the Aztec clay with apple cider vinegar. Here you can see the proper consistency:

3. Apply the mask

Apply the Aztec clay mask evenly to all areas so it doesn’t clump up. Start with a small section first.

Use a comb and you will see how well the mask defines your curls!

4. Continue to apply the mask and spray with water as needed

Continue in the same way, applying more of the mask to other sections of your hair.

I decided to use a spray bottle with water because I found that the mask was drying out.

I wasn’t expecting the mask to work so quickly. At this point, I’m already so pleased with how the curls are taking shape!

Just keep applying the clay and teasing it into the hair until the curls form.

Do your best to apply the mask evenly, paying special care that it doesn’t clump up in the back. As you can see, it looks even here:

5. Wait

Leave the mask on your hair for about 30 minutes to wait for the mask to completely harden.

Do you see these curls guys? I was shook.

6. Wash

Now it’s time to wash out the clay. It was super easy to rinse out, and it didn’t stick to my hair.

Here are the results! My hair is curly and incredibly soft.

In the past I’ve tried deep conditioners and other methods, but my hair has never felt as soft as it does after applying the Aztec clay mask.
