4 Super Cute Gingham Outfit Ideas

1. Gingham skirt outfit

The first piece we are styling today is this cute little mini skirt with a navy and white gingham print.

I've paired it with a beautiful rose gold necklace that I inherited as well as this linen blouse that I thrifted. The blouse is a wrap blouse so you have to thread the ties through the back of it and tie them at the back. 

The outfit is sort of 1940s inspired with the linen blouse that has flowy sleeves and the cute little gingham print skirt.

It's definitely shorter and more risque than anything they'd wear in the 40s but I think that the outfit paired with the lipstick and the cat-eye makeup just has that vintage vibe to it. 

The earrings are some vintage clip-ons with a little nautical twist which I thought really complimented the navy in the skirt.

2. Gingham dress outfit

In the second outfit, I’m wearing these wonderful boots that are made from a faux crocodile material and I replaced the laces with some cool satin ribbons that I thought were really fun and have a bit of a witchy vibe to them.

Up on top, I’m wearing a spaghetti strap gingham dress with a simple black mock neck t-shirt under it which makes it more suitable for colder weather and creates a nice high-contrast look. 

I’ve actually put two little safety pins in at the front of the dress to make it look rucked. The dress doesn't have that ruching, but I thought that it would look good if it did! The belt is another vintage find, it is suede with a gold buckle and looks a bit Gucci-inspired. 

3. Gingham pants outfit

These gingham pants are definitely a staple in my wardrobe and are reminiscent of the rockabilly vibe. I paired them with a faux Gucci belt and a Rolling Stones world tour 2002 and 2003 t-shirt which has a vintage feel.

On my feet are some cherry red boots in patent leather that are very latex-looking. They make such a bold statement whenever I wear them, and they also tie in really nicely with the red on the t-shirt.

I’ve styled my hair in a half-up, half-down bun. I like this look because it is a little edgier. I generally think of gingham as very girly and cottagecore and here I’ve turned it into my own style and made it a little rougher.

4. Puffy shoulder gingham dress outfit

A fun fact about this dress is that it actually doesn’t fit me properly, but I put a safety pin in at the back to make it work and give it a cool open-back effect. When there’s a will, there’s a way.

The chain belt is vintage and has a cool lion head and I’m also wearing a matching necklace. I love the poofy bishop sleeves on the dress and the puffy shoulder is sublime.

In addition, black and brown are generally thought of as colors that don’t pair very well but this dress proves that it is possible, and they can actually look harmonious together.

I love the sort of messy ponytail that I've got going on with some tendrils around my face. I thought that this outfit needed a messier look to it than something a little more polished. 

The boots have a really dramatic gold zipper which I think is rare to find on a black bootie as they usually have silver hardware, so I really like that this zipper is gold.
