When making our diy bath and beauty products, we like to use Rocky Mountain Oils, because they have such a great selection of single oils as well as blends. They even have great kits available, as well as free shipping on orders of $25 or more.

What are diy shower steamers?

Shower steamers are kind of like bath bombs but instead of putting them into a tub, the steamer is placed on the shower floor. The water activates the shower steamers which then fizzes and releases the essential oils. If you want to try bath bombs but you don’t have a tub, this is a great alternative!

Can i use different essential oil?

Yes, you can pick your favorite essential oil. Personally, lavender essential oil is a popular choice for me because of its calming effect as well as its antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties.

How to store and how long will it last?

You can wrap these shower steamers in paper individually and store them in a container, this will help keep their fizzing properties and aroma. Store it in a dry place and it should last you for a few months, however, remember that storing them for months might affect their fizzing/smell, so it’s best to use them in a month.
