Easy 7-Step Hair Care Routine for Healthy, Shiny Hair

Today, I'm going to show you how I take care of my hair and keep it healthy, soft, and shiny.
If your hair is in need of some TLC, this is for you. Follow along as I take you through my hair care routine steps.
Tools and materials:
- Hairbrush
- Hair oil
- Hair tie
- Shampoo
- Hair mask
- Leave-in conditioner spray
- Hair curler
1. Apply oil to hair
The night before you wash your hair, give it a brush and then apply hair oil all over it, going from the ends upwards.
I tend to use extra virgin coconut oil. Then, brush your hair again to distribute the product.
2. Braid hair
Once done, loosely braid your hair.
Sleep with your hair like that, covering it with a silk cap or sleeping on a silk pillowcase if you so desire.
3. Apply shampoo
When washing your hair, be sure to massage your scalp with your fingers.
This not only helps the shampoo to break in the oils and the dirt, but it also stimulates blood circulation in the scalp and promotes hair growth.
Wash your hair twice with a moisturizing shampoo and then rinse it on.
4. Apply hair mask
Instead of applying shampoo, go straight in with a hair mask.
Apply it on the ends and leave it on for a bit. Then rinse it out at the end of your shower.
5. Apply leave-in conditioner
Next, spray your hair with some leave-in conditioner spray that will also help to detangle your hair.
6. Style hair
Now you can go ahead and curl your hair.
7. Apply hair oil
The last step is to apply some hair oil as a finishing product after you style your hair to keep your hair nourished, shiny and protected in between styles.
