Hey there I've got a great new make to share today. I made some new trousers and I'm ready to share all the details on how I made them and how to style them two ways!!

The pattern I used is the Makers Atelier Cigarette pants which is from the book The Makers Atelier which you can grab here! >

The Maker's Atelier: The Essential Collection Sewing with Style: Amazon.co.uk: Frances Tobin: 9781849499040: Books I made them in a really super stretch suiting which was from Minerva.com and you can find the fabric here, it comes in 17 great colourways, so I'm sure there's one to suit every taste!! > Minerva Core Range Wool Touch Stretch Woven Suiting Fabric | 1196466 | Minerva

Here we go, all ready to get cutting!!

First things first, as so many patterns begin, lets pop some darts in the two back trouser panels. This helps the shaping of the pants as most waists are smaller than most peoples hips!!

Next step we join the two back sections to each other and the two front sections at the centre front seams.

Next we have to stitch the leg outside seams and then the inside seams.

Almost done now, I have added the side zip and there's just the waist facing to add and we're all ready to style them up!!

Yey, here we go. This is the first of my styling suggestions, here I'm wearing my new trousers for a day in the office. I've teamed them up with a white blouse and a smart waistcoat for a smart business look

Here's another view, I'm really pleased with the fit I have achieved with these, although of course because the fabric is stretchy it really helps!!

But for a more casual look what about a cheerful hoodie, warm and comfy!! I could also wear this for lunch out with pals or a trip shopping in the city! Which is your favourite way to style them up??
