Spring Basics I'm Loving

Spring feels like it can't come soon enough. Anyone else looking forward to warmer weather, cute floral patterns and SUNSHINE? I have started stocking up on some spring basics in hopes that if I dress for spring it will come sooner!

BLACK SHORTS

I’ve always had a love/hate relationship with high-waisted shorts. I don’t know what it is about them that makes them more uncomfortable than high-waisted jeans, but it’s so hard for me to find a pair that I can actually comfortably sit down in but also didn’t ride up my booty. Curvy girls, I know you feel my struggles here.

So, I was thrilled to find this pair! They are a great length -- aka, they cover the booty -- and don’t hit at an unflattering spot on the waist. The flared hem adds the perfect distressed touch to a basic black short, but if black isn’t your jam, they come in denim washes, too. I sized up one size.

BRIGHT TEES

I didn’t think it was possible to love a basic tee so much until I met this one. Ugh, I could go on and on. The best thing is the quality. Seriously, it’s from Amazon and you would never guess it. The fabric is nice and thick -- aka it won’t stretch out or snag easily -- while still being breathable. And, it’s just oversized enough to wear off-the-shoulder or like a regular t-shirt. And, the stretchy fabric makes it easy to tuck or tie. If you want something more fitted, just size down one. I’ll stop with the t-shirt love letter now. Just trust me and add this to your cart.

WHITE SANDALS

I own a pair of sandals from this brand that are very old. Like, probably-need-to-go-in-the-trash old. But, I love them so much -- and wear them so often -- I can’t bring myself to toss them. The minute I saw this new style online, I had to snag them. They are very similar to the other pair I own, but these will be able to go with some dressier options, as well. I love a crisp, white sandal in the spring, and I know these will quickly be my new go-to's. Fit true to size. Hope these basics get you inspired and excited for warmer weather on the horizon!
