This Half-up Hairstyle is Perfect for Date Night Out
In this hair tutorial, I’m going to show you a gorgeous half-up half-down hairstyle that is perfect for a night out.
It’s super easy to do. Let’s jump on in!
Tools and materials:
- Hair elastics
- Hair tie
- Hairbrush
- Curler
1. Divide hair into sections
Start by separating your hair down the middle. Then divide it so you have one small section on either side of your parting.
2. Tie elastics in hair
Tie an elastic at the top of each section of hair that you’ve separated.
3. Add more elastics
On both sides, add a second elastic a little bit beneath the first one and then a third elastic a little bit beneath that.
Ensure that you keep an equal distance between the elastics for a symmetrical look. It should look like this.
4. Tie hair forward
Tie the front section of hair forward so it’s out of the way.
5. Tie half ponytail
Brush the back of your hair into a half ponytail and tie it into place.
6. Wrap hair around ponytail
Cross over the two front ponytails and wrap them around your half ponytail.
7. Tie together
Tie the two front ponytails together underneath the half ponytail.
8. Curl hair
The final step is to curl your hair to create loose beachy waves (you can use either a straightener or a curler for this).

I love the little elastics tied at the front of my hair to create bubble braids, the hair wrapped around the half ponytail, and the beautiful waves.
