T Shirt Refashion
Update your wardrobe with a quick t shirt refashion. Playing with former clothes, having a go at adapting them doesn’t cost anything but time and a little imagination.
I regularly hold upcycling t-shirt’s into necklace workshops, it seems only fitting that I wear a refashioned t shirt for the events.
A simple white t shirt transformed with a textured pink t shirt.
To refashion your t shirt make a diagonal cut along the bottom. With a second t shirt cut a tube of fabric.
With the right sides together stitch together, you may need to gather the extra fabric slightly so it fits flat. Hem the new edge.
Cut 1 ” strips for binding the edge of the sleeves. Pin these right sides together along the edges of the sleeve. Stitch round.
Turn over to the inside of the t shirt and pin in place.
Stitch along the edge of sleeve.
With the remains of your complimentary t shirt you may wish to make yourself a necklace to match.
What’s your favourite t shirt refashion? If you love necklaces check out my tutorial for a t-shirt necklace (I am amazed at just how popular this the necklace tutorial is!).
