3 Ways to Style a Silk Neck Scarf in Winter
If you’re bored of the regular way you wear your scarves, here are three unique ways you can style a silk neck scarf to keep you warm in the winter.
Let’s get started!
Tools and materials:
- Scarf
1. Faux-bow
1. Wrap the folded scarf around your neck
Start with your scarf already folded into a rectangle, and wrap it around your neck.
2. Flip the ends upward
Place the two ends together, and then flip the conjoined ends upward against your neck. The ends should fan out.
3. Tie the bottom
Tie off the bottom of the scarf with a hair tie.
4. Flip the ends back down
Flip the ends back down and spread them out to create something similar to a bow.
5. Adjust
Adjust the scarf to the side of your neck, instead of directly centered.
Here’s the finished style!
2. Faux loose tie
1. Twist the scarf
Start with your scarf folded and wrapped around your neck. Twist the two ends around each other a couple of times.
2. Pull one end through the neck hole
Pull one end of the scarf through the neck hole.
3. Pull the end through the twist
Create a hole between the twists and pull the same end of the scarf through it.
4. Repeat
Repeat steps 2 and 3 with the other end of the scarf.
5. Flatten the ends
Leave the knot loose and flatten out the two ends to create a faux tie look.
Here’s the finished style!
3. Knotted scarf
1. Create a hole in the scarf
Start with your scarf folded and wrapped around your neck. Join the two ends together.
Create a small hole at the end by folding the joined ends over your fingers.
2. Tie the tail around the hole
Wrap the tail around the top of the hole to secure it.
3. Hide the tail
Pull the very end of the tail through the hole to hide it.
4. Tighten
Push the knot down to tighten the hole.
Here’s the finished style!
