Five Cute Outfits for Spring
Are you the type of person who dreads figuring out sharp office outfits for Spring? Or are you challenged by spring brunch outfits? Do you wonder how to come up with spring casual outfits? Well, look no further than this blog post. Let me be the “personal trainer in your closet” that will easily guide you to cute spring casual outfits.
I love all the seasons! But, I especially enjoy seeing the bright colors of the spring and summer collections when I head to the stores or peruse the online catalogs. I love the textures of the handbags and the accessories of this time of year. So sit back with your favorite cup of coffee, or glass of wine and enjoy this batch of Five Cute Spring Outfits.
In this post...
Outfit #1 of the Five Cute Outfits for Spring
I love this first outfit! I paired a really dark navy polka dot sleeveless knit top with a medium-wash j ean jacket and some bright red jeggings. I accessorized with “diamond” stud earrings and white cat-eye sunglasses.
I added a cute wrist full of very inexpensive silver beaded bracelets and nude sandals (old, similar, here). To match the sunglasses, I sported a great pebbled leather white satchel from the Coach Outlet store.
At my waist, I tied a red, white, and blue silk scarf (old, similar, here) to add a bit more “sass” to my look. Pro-tip: Wearing a scarf at one’s waist, especially when tied off to one side, is a playful and fashionable way to wear a scarf in warm weather. This would also work with white jeans or white shorts for all the patriotic holidays that are just around the corner.
Here is an example of spring clothes for work. You probably have a black or navy blazer in your closet. I just paired mine with a terrific (and well-priced) pink gingham shirt as well as a flattering pair of Spanx black pants.
As the below flat lay demonstrates, the real success of the outfit is in the accessories. Again, I wore the white pebbled leather bag from the first outfit, along with the white sunglasses. For a necklace, I wore a darling new layered silver Kendra Scott necklace from Mr. G.Q. I love how this fills in my neckline, without feeling too warm. (It comes in both a silver and gold finish).
My shoes are black suede block-heeled sandals, but black pumps or loafers would work equally well. Again, I added the “diamond” earrings, necklace, silver beaded bracelets, for a bit of sparkle and attitude.
This outfit would be considered a spring business casual outfit. I think cute spring outfits with jeans always look crisp. Here, I wore my new favorite spring basic: a terrific red knit jacket by Gipsonlook. I have been following this site on my Instagram for multiple months, and boy am I ever happy that I finally succumbed to the purchase.
This jacket will take me from early spring (when layered with a lightweight sweater and scarf) to summer when worn with a camp shirt and white shorts, or even over a summer dress.
And then there’s this darling navy graphic “Philadelphia” tee-shirt peeking out from under the blazer. I HAD to buy this one because, on July 8, 2023, my sweet son Jake is marrying his wonderful fiancee, Rachel in the historic city of Philadelphia. So, now you see why it had to go home with me!
Pro-tip: For accessories, I wore a gold watch and bangle, both of which are considered basic jewelry items that one should have in their collection. For earrings, I wore these new pearl and gold hoops from J Crew Factory. Aren’t they so cute?! Again, I wore the white bag and sunglasses. Pro-tip: Pebbled leather is much sturdier than smooth leather and rarely shows any scuffs. It’s ALWAYS my preference in a handbag.
For a fun accent, I tied a red and white Madewell bandana on my bag handle. I wore this scarf around my neck in some Valentine’s Day outfits. Here’s that post.
See how I changed up the second “suit” outfit by exchanging the pink checked shirt for the dark floral tee? Doesn’t it look different? I think it’s remarkable how a dark floral print top (mine is low in quantity, similar, here) can easily be worn now in the spring as a transitional piece, while also easily be worn in the summer and fall. I will pair this top going forward with white jeans, blue shorts, and red jeggings.
Here, I wore it with a black blazer and black Spanx pants. I added the white bag from earlier looks and the silver bracelet and necklace.
This floral tee has a neat “envelope neckline” that is a bit drapey. It would look nice on its own as well as under a jacket.
This last casual outfit is a quintessential red, white, and blue ensemble. I paired a red and white striped tee (old, similar, here) with a medium-wash denim jacket and red jeggings. I wore nude block heel sandals and a darling round red crossbody purse.
For accessories, I added the same scarf (old, similar, here) as in outfit #1 but this time, I wore it casually knotted around my neck. Pro-tip: Mixing a classic silk scarf with a jean jacket is unexpected, but a stylish combination. Again, I wore the silver beaded bracelets and “diamond” earrings.
