How To Transition Your Fav Summer Skirt For Fall

We all have our favorite clothing items. Those pieces we want to wear all year - because they're comfortable, chic, or go with everything. Well, this tan and white polka-dot skirt that I purchased this summer for under $20 is one of my favorites. I just can't let it go now that the weather is changing. I'm sure you have one of those too - that favorite summer mini skirt that you just don't want to let go of. Well, no need to fear - because I have put together a fool-proof solution for transitioning your favorite summer skirt for fall.

Step 1 // Swap your tank-top for a long-sleeve bodysuit

I found this gorgeous pink bell-sleeve bodysuit on Amazon. It's so soft it feels like pajamas. I love the v-neckline and the sleeve detail. It comes in other classic colors you'll want to stock up on too! I always size up for length in bodysuits and would recommend that to you. This piece is also under $20.

Step 2 // Add cute knee-high boots

Switch out the sandals for some knee-high boots. These nude suede Vince Camuto boots were another great score in last year's Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I've linked a couple of other pairs that I like including this year's new pair from Vince Camuto.

Step 3 // Toss on jean jacket to finish

The finishing step is to add your favorite jean jacket. I've kept the denim light to go with the lighter shades in the outfit. This one is old and a little distressed from Old Navy but it's one of my favs!

What do you think? Will you be transitioning any of your favorite skirts for fall?
