Hey babes! We are back with another blog post on this beautiful Monday. Can you believe that we are in the last day of January?! Wow! Time really does fly. I was so nervous about the new year starting, but now I am excited for what is to come. Speaking of what’s to come… Valentine’s Day is approaching in literally 2 weeks, and I want to make sure that I have you babes ready for your special day! Everyday is special, but this particular day is SPECIAL SPECIAL (LOL)! This post is for my basic babes with a touch of glam. We are going to style a basic white top 4 ways for Valentine’s day so you can “Style Up” and have options!

1. White Top with a Black Skirt

The first way to style a basic white top is with a classic black skirt. This look is for my babes who are minimalist and simplistic, but like to “Style Up” with accessories. I chose to go with an off the shoulder white top that was thrifted from my local thrift store. I like to show off a bit of skin when I go out with my spouse, but any style of white top will do for Valentine’s Day.

Outfit Details: White Top; Thrifted, Black Skirt: Thrifted, Earrings: Beauty Supply store, Clutch: Thrifted, Belt: Charlotte Russe

Wearing black is a love language to me. It hides all the blemishes and makes you look smaller where you need to be. Wearing black on any day or special occasion is good if you want to hide a problem area. I wanted a smaller waist so this floor length black skirt did the trick.

This look was paired with gold accessories, which are my fav, and a simple black clutch that was also thrifted from local thrift store. ” Style Up” by adding accessories of your choice. This is a neutral look so any type of jewelry will do, but to keep it simple a pair of studs will do.

2. White Top with Jeans

The second way to style a basic white top can be with ripped jeans. Jeans have been my favorite since middle school and I will wear a pair of jeans any day. Dressed up or down I am with it ok (LOL). If you are having a casual Valentine’s Day then this look is for you.

Outfit Details: Jeans: Thrifted, Purse: Thrifted, Shoes: Charlotte Russe

This is another simplistic look with a bit of edge. The jeans can be your style of choice. As I mentioned earlier I like to show off some skin so this style of jeans was best for me. “Style Up” by adding some color that matches the vibe. Because it is for Valentine’s Day and I want to be seen, the color red was my style of choice. If you want to keep it soft and cute… then the color pink or baby blue would be a better option.

This look is great to be worn for a concert, a bar or lounge, painting, bowling, or a cooking class. Whatever you choose to do with this style for Valentine’s Day… Have fun!

3. White Top with a Red Skirt

The third way to style a white top for Valentine’s Day is to pair it with a colored skirt. We talked about a simple black skirt earlier (which is part of your basic essential must haves), but this time we are using color.

Outfit Details: Entire look is thrifted, Shoes: Local store in Houston called Trend Mall

I just want my babes to be seen because the world needs to see how beautiful you are! If red is not your thing then you can soften the look by going back to the first style we talked about or changing the color of the skirt with pink, white, baby blue, etc.

Because the skirt is the attention grabber I kept the accessories to a minimal. The gold accessories are to add some shine, but the shoes and purse were muted to bring the attention upward. Always remember that… wherever you want to grab attention, wear colors or patterns in the places you want to be seen.

4. White Top with Pink Pants

The final look on how to style a basic white top for Valentine’s Day is wearing pink. I know some of you were probably thinking, “OMG Is she going to show us pink!” LOL the answer is yes! How could you not wear pink for Valentine’s Day! I mean it is tradition and it is a law!

Outfit Details: Pants: Dillard’s, Shoes: Thrifted

This look is for my ladies who have just gotten off from work and showed a little Valentine’s Day spirit on the job, and now transitioning to dinner with their loved ones. I love a good versatile look that is flexible, and is very important to have in your wardrobe. It can help you transition for many occasions and seasons.

Add a matching clutch bag to this look and you are ready to go from desk to dinner in minutes.

This wraps up another blog post for this week. I hope you enjoyed these looks and that it gave you some ideas for Valentine’s Day if you are opting for a white basic top. Let me know in the comments which look was your favorite. Until next time babes. Happy Styling!
