Chic Way to Turn Any Men's Tie Into an Accessory for YOU
You have to learn this chic way to turn any men’s tie into an accessory for you.
Whether you’re borrowing a tie for someone in your house, or picked up a great tie at a thrift store, this hack transforms a men’s accessory into a fabulously feminine accessory for women.
Grab a tie and let’s get to it!
Tools and materials:
- Men’s tie
- Rubber band
1. Fold
Hang the tie around your neck and take the thicker side. Fold the thick end up about 5 inches. Do this 2 times, creating 2 folds.
2. Make a bow
Take a hair elastic, or a regular rubber band and tie it around the folds at the center.
This will create a bowtie shape. Straighten out the fabric so it sits neatly.
3. Wrap it together
Take the thinner end of the tie and thread it through the rubber band at the back of the bow.
Pull at the thin side and slide the bow up to your neck.
Now, wrap it under and over around the front of the bow to cover the rubber band.
Pull it through the rubber band at the back of the bow tie.
4. Finishing touches
Adjust the end so it sits straight and make any necessary adjustments to your shirt. You’re all set!
